Founded in 1902, Pretoria High School for Girls has a proud and long tradition of providing top quality education. The founding Headmistress, Miss Edith Aitken, gave the school the motto Prosit Spes Labori – We Work in Hope. The school is led by the 9th Headmistress, Mrs Penny McNair who firmly believes in equal opportunity all around and ensures that this takes place. We believe that our strength lies in drawing learners from diverse backgrounds.
