I am an ex pupil myself and I am shocked at the comments from ex learners. Its just so South African to complain about situations that they themselves contributed to when they were in high school. The schools job is to EDUCATE,not discipline. That is the job of the parent, teachers can not spend hours trying to discipline unruly girls. Nevertheless, the schools maintains its priority with the girls. They have access to social workers and feeding schemes. I love the school,I am where I am today of this school. I matriculated in 2008,started varsity in 2009 and now I am graduating, plus i have a good job in investment as we speak. Thank you to the SMT,the educators and principal

I am extremely disgusted and dissapointed with WGHS's standards judging from what it used to produce.

Ex-Pupil's Review
As an ex-learner at Waverley, I can say with almost 100% certainty that the school has seriously plumetted since I was there. A friend's daughter recently matriculated from the school, and I was shocked and saddened to hear what has become of a once good school. There is no sense of competetiveness for top achievement anymore, and the learners are rowdy and disrespectful in public. I cannot say this is the case for ALL the students, but unfortunately due to poor managerial skills the school is definately not any place I'd consider sending my own daughter.

Chairman WGHS Trust
The school has good academic success and good learner discipline. The principal and school management committee are doing an effective job of managing the school in a rapidly changing demographic and policy environment. The school has a good infrastructure and is situated in an attractive residential area in Johannesburg.
