Choose a home from home country environment where your child can learn & play, they are our utmost priority. Education through play is one of our mottos. We strive to improve gross & fine motor skills. Learning includes self awareness, the weather, counting, colours, how a garden grows, to name but a few. Letter recognition is learnt through the THRASS syllabus. Baking is incorporated into the weekly theme and music and dance is a daily occurrence.

Pay us a visit just +/- 2km from Dainfern, behind Broadacres Shopping Centre.
We cater for children up to Grade 0/R
My daughter Ruqayya had a year`s experience of the stimulating and solid learning foundation necessary for her cognitive and emotional development Little Beginner`s offers. we are pleased with the building blocks the teaching team has laid and the results were evident in her meeting the entry requirements of a highly prestiged private school. It had become a home away from home for our daughter and I commend the team for the all encompassing quality they strive for and deliver. it has been a developmental experience in our daughter`s life that neither she nor we will ever forget.
In fact the teacher`s have such a special place in her heart she cannot wait to go show them her uniform and share her new experiences as a Grade 1 learner. Now if that is not emotional nurturance pivotal for cognitive development I don`t know what is.
We will forever be indebted to this special team of educators.
We sent our daughter here, after she left broadacres farm nursery (she could not take the dust there - allergies/permanently snotty).
She loved it, the classes are small, the people are friendy & the activities are great. Since its a 'country' school (albeit right in the heart of the suburbs, behind broadacres shopping centre) it has plenty of space for play & activities. Her favourites were horse riding & golf (There are several stables next to the schoold, and they bring the ponies in - theres plenty of room). Hence its also very secure, with the schoold buildings faaaaaar away from the road. Enough room for kids golf & no broken windows:)
Education & Play were top notch, but its the people that make it. She still wants to go and see Janine every chance she gets (the school sometimes hosts 'bring & braai's and suchlike for current & ex children & parents - which helps create a community feeling).
I recommend it too highly, we've never had a single issue.

My son, Luc started at Little Beginners at the beginning of the year and I couldn't be more happy with the school.
He is given a huge amount of love, but also has firm boundaries which makes him feel safe and secure. He learnt very quickly that the staff were not going to be manipulated and as a result, he has settled down quickly and easily.
I am impressed not just with the education the children receive, but also with the extras on offer. The children are encouraged to do what interests them but never pushed. Luc loves the golf, the ballet and gymnastics. In fact, I had to limit him to 4 choices.
Janine is a wonderful teacher and is always available for a quick chat or a formal meeting. She is positive about each child and they adore her. I get ignored as soon as we enter the gate because Luc gives every staff member a "high five" and runs off to his friends. I have to run after him to get a kiss. That shows me that he is happy there because he is never usually far from my side.
The classes are small which means that the children get the attention they need and deserve.
I would highly recommend this school to anyone in the area
I would highly recommend this school. My daughter has been there for 6 months and we are very happy. This is a small school in the countryside that may not be as fancy as other schools when it comes to facilities but is perfect in every other way. What I love most is the personal touch. We get extensive feedback on how our daughter is performing in the form of informal chats, personal meetings, newsletters and the school's facebook page. I never feel like I do not know what is happening. The teachers genouinely love the kids and this is evident in the hugs and joy that the kids extend to the staff on a Monday morning. Despite the school's small size it offers a large variety of extracurricular activities. The principal, Janine, ensures that her staff attend several first aid courses a year to ensure that they are constantly prepared and she is extremely organised. If you live in the Chartwell area, do yourself a favour and make an appointment to see this school.
