BCA is an independent school from Grade 0 to Grade 12.
BCA follows the National Curriculum Statement as stipulated by the SA Department of Education, using the Accelerated Christian Education curriculum material. Learners are tested at regular intervals to monitor their progress.
All children do not learn at the same rate and conventional systems of education cannot address this. It is normal for children to function at a level two or more years above or below their chronological age. This could result in the quick learner becoming bored while the slow learner is left behind and de-motivated.
The progress of all learners in ACE schools is monitored by means of continual assessment. Grade 12 learners do not write exams, however, their progress is monitored and recorded for progress throughout the high school career. ACE grade 12 graduates can earn exemption equivalence by writing and passing a Scholastic Aptitude Test in their grade 12 year. This entitles them to apply to study at South African universities.
Bluff Christian Academy is actively preparing our children to become dynamic and relevant leaders for the future using sound Biblical principals to equip them and strengthen their character.
BCA offer all the national Curriculum learning areas up to grade 9 and many of the recognized FET subjects are available to our learners from grade 10 to grade 12. Classes are kept to a maximum of 25 learners with Supervisor (qualified teacher) and a Monitor (often studying towards degree level)
BCA had a variety of sports available. Professional coaching is often available and inclusive for certain sports.
