The happiest days of my school life!

I am honoured to have been one of the first learners at Cape Town Studies and Tours since their establishment in 2004. I matriculated in 2006 and must admit that the 2 years that I spent at this school were the happiest years of my school career! The teachers were awesome and I loved the tranquil environment. The mutual respect between students and teachers is certainly part of this school's success recipe! I can honestly recommend this school to any person who takes academics seriously, and assure you that you will, with the help of this professional team, reach your full potential, both academically and personally. Another point worth mentioning is the low teacher / student ratio. The individual attention is just what I needed in order to succeed.

The school offers fantastic extracurricular activities ranging from amazing Art and Design exhibitions to regular curricular-based outings, visits to the library over the road and experiments.

Cape Town Studies and Tours does not offer sport, but has a body boarding team and many of the students belong to the gym over the road.

Dear Principal

I wish you a prosperous and a fantastic new year. I also want to use this email to extend my gratitude and thanks to you. Thank you for all the help you and your team has given my daughter over the years. I knew that with all the help she received from you and your team she will pass grade 12. And she has. Yippee! I was greatly impressed and thankful. I could only voice my good feelings and thoughts about your school to anyone that is willing to listen. I think your school is fantastic and you definetly have a heart for the students to make it and to succeed at school. I am a proud mama but I am sure you are a more proud principal and not just about the learners that passed but also of your staff. I will always take my hat off to your school. And anyone that has been asking me about a school, yours is always on my lips and to be honest I brag about your school. I also learnt that the majority of your grade 12 class last year (2010) passed their learner licence and their driver's licence. I see that as a feather in your bonnet.

I congratulate you and your persistence in seeing everyone pass. Definetly a 100% percent school. Please be proud.

Every person has their own specific requirements in life and a year ago, I suddenly realised that my initial choice of school was not necessarily right for each of my 3 very different children. Years of chastising my older daughter for poor school performance and watching a very bright girl dwindling into a sea of mediocrity came to an end when we discovered CST. My child's academic marks have moved from average and below to consistently excellent during the year she has attended this school. It is such a relief to watch her starting to fulfill the potential we always knew was there, thanks to an environment in which she is free to express & explore her own individuality under the guidance of a highly professional, caring team of teachers. Thank you Karen and your team for the encouragement and support given to both my child and myself - what a fantastic difference you have made in our lives. Instead of holding our breath to see if she would actually achieve University entrance, we are busy deciding which University would be most beneficial for my child to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a teacher!

For the first time since pre-school, our youngest son (now Grade 10) is happy to go to school. This has literally changed our lives. No more battling to get up and ready for school. No more fights. On joining Cape Town Studies, we observed our son evolve into a happy, motivated and positive young man who wants to work for himself and his teachers. This positive attitude impacts on the other areas of his life, and in turn on ours. The smaller classes, individual attention and mutual respect between teachers and students definitely works for him, and the cherry on the top is that his results have improved tremendously. A huge thank you to the wonderful and dedicated principal and teachers of Cape Town Studies who go the extra mile to ensure that their students are able to reach their potential. You have a winning recipe and we are so thankful that we found you. It has been a blessing.

So nice to notice the responsibility for student "achievement" is not glibly apportioned to parents,the great cop-out used by some schools today.
