The Roseway Waldorf School is run according to the educational principles outlined by Dr Rudolf Steiner. Though an independent school, it is a member of the Federation of Waldorf Schools in South Africa.
The Roseway Waldorf School begins in the Playgroup for children aged 2 1/2 - 4. From here they are promoted to the Kindergarten under the watchful eye of Suzie Trinder and her team of dedicated teachers until they reach 6 years.
In their 7th year, the children will start Primary School. A new class teacher starts with them in Class 1 and will follow them right up to Class 7 before they go into High School.
Once in High school they are guided through their final 6 years with a Class guardian who is there to guide and assist them with the day to day class activities.
Our vision is to create a healthy community in our country where children learn with enthusiasm strive to become independent, creative thinkers are free to find their true destiny in life work with purpose, reverence and love are confident that they will make a difference in the world.
On the green hills of KwaZulu Natal is situated the Roseway Waldorf School. On top of Alverstone Hill, a conservancy, just ten minutes outside Hillcrest, surrounded by farmsteads, fresh air and overlooking the green valleys you will find a school that offers an educational environment much sort after for its creative way of learning. The school caters for the little children from Playgroup right through to Matric, offering the child an holistic and well grounded education to equip them for their adult life.
