Crawford 2012 Matrics do it again!

CrawfordSchools™ is synonymous with academic excellence and at no time is this more evident than at the release of the Matric results every year.  Once again, the Matric group of 2012 did not disappoint.

In 2012 584 Crawford candidates wrote the National Senior Certificate and achieved a total of 1 869 distinctions.  This translates to 3.2 distinctions per candidateA 100% pass rate was achieved and 98% of candidates achieved a Bachelor’s Degree Pass.

Jessica Rees from Crawford College Sandton achieved the most distinctions with 11 in total.   This is the second year in a row that Crawford College Sandton produced a student with more than 10 distinctions.  A further 6 students achieved 10 distinctions.  A total of 82 students achieved full houses (7 or more distinctions). 

Crawford College Pretoria was given the award for the Top Non-Subsidised (Independent) School in Gauteng by the Gauteng Department of Education followed by Crawford College Sandton in second place and Crawford College Lonehill in third place.  It was announced that Aliya Mukadam from Crawford College Pretoria is the Top Independent School candidate in Gauteng with an average of over 96%.  To date, no announcements have been made by the KwaZulu Natal Department of Education.

The top students for each Crawford College and overall in the ADvTECH Schools Division will be announced on the 18th of January at the Annual ADvTECH Schools Division Top Achievers Function in Sandton.
