Abbotts College Centurion will open its doors to students in January 2014. Our teachers for this campus will be handpicked from throughout the Gauteng region, not only for the excellent results that their students have achieved, but because we believe that they will be able to give the individual care and attention that is offered to every Abbotts College student.

Our students experience excellent, exciting and innovative classroom teaching in small classes, which is followed up by compulsory supervised homework at the College in the afternoon. Our teachers are also on call at home to help with after hour queries. We believe in the value of effective communication and co-operation between teacher, student and parent. Eight full reports are issued each year. These are backed up by regular parent-teacher meetings.

The extra-mural program is designed to bring the classroom to life. Subject field trips are arranged regularly as are outings that emphasize the relationships between subjects. The annual international tour has become a highlight on the campus!

In addition to regular day outings our Grade 10’s and 11’s also participate in a leadership camp early in the year. The camp, emphasizing team building and co-operative learning, ensures that students quickly make friends and that the student body is molded into a supportive unit.

Traditional student activities are also catered for. Every year we have inter-campus sports days, cultural evenings, a matric dance, awards evenings and the Grade 12 Graduation.

Each prospective student attends an interview at the College with his/her parents. At this interview the subjects, which best suit the student’s needs and aspirations are selected and discussed with the principal. A timetable is then designed to ensure that the student will enjoy college life and be given the best opportunity to enter his/her chosen career.
