Trinityhouse High is a co-educational non-denominational Christian School offering holistic education. We provide opportunities for growth in academic, sporting, cultural and spiritual areas. We have a stable pupil population of about 640. There are slightly more boys than girls. Our maximum class size is 26 with five classes in each grade. Our pupils wear a formal uniform including a blazer in winter.
Wehave never had a failure in Matric and our pupils maintain a high level of success with over 25% attaining A-Aggregates each year. Over the years we have had numerous pupils in the Top Fifty of the IEB.
We have not had a single pupil fail a year, in any Grade, since 2000. For the FET all our pupils (except some Immigrants) take English, Afrikaans and Life Orientation. Our pupils may select subjects from: Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, Physical Science, Life Sciences, Accounting, Business Studies, History, Geography, Visual Art, Information Technology and Computer Applications Technology.
We compete against schools which are up to three times our size. This has not daunted our pupils and we regularly beat such schools! We have a very high percentage of participation by our pupils.
We offer Cricket for both boys and girls (two SA Schools Cricketers), Tennis (The Premier League), Swimming (The D League), Netball, Hockey for both boys and girls, Cross Country (winners of the 2007 league), Athletics (D League) and Rugby (winners of the Super 12 League for a number of years and the inter provincial Beeld Trophy in U14 age group in 2007).
Our teams have been singularly successful and play in the highest leagues in all but Athletics and Swimming. Various teams have toured overseas including girls hockey to Australia and New Zealand, boys and girls hockey to England and Rugby to Dubai.
