It's my child's 1st year in school I was so shocked by what i witnessed in this school a couple of times.
1st of all the school has 99% white teachers and 99% black kids. So for a black parent to witness what I witnessed it hits a racial nerve.
The teachers scream and shout at these little scared kids both at assembly and in class. You can hear them blowing a fuse all the way from the school gate.
I witnessed 3 disturbing instances in a space of 2 days. 1 was when a little girl was being dragged, pushed and screamed at by a teacher , another was a little grade 1 boy was pushed by a teacher. Another today just after the bell rang for the kids to go home. We could hear the teacher screaming at the kids in a very disturming manner from outside the gate. Most of the people ccollecting the kids are nannies/ helpers so they just keep quiet and fetch the kids. Most parents stay and wait for the kids in their cars so I'm not sure if they could hear what we were hearing standing outside the gate.

I am infuriated and I cant help but wonder what happens during school hours when parents are nowhere near the school.
I'm planning on talking to the principal of the school about this. If nothing changes then escalate to the department of Education.
