Hazel Bolnick, a young teacher was approached by some parents, who had moved into a new developing area called Gallo Manor, to start a new school called King David Sandton. Her excellent qualities were just what was needed to lead a brand new school and encourage more parents who were living in or planning to move to the area to come to the school.
