Academic programme
At Southcity Christian College we offer a broad and balanced academic programme with a wide variety of subject options that can accommodate pupils of varying abilities.
Classes are of a manageable size, allowing some pupils to accelerate their progress and others to receive special attention. In the Preparatory Phase a superb cross-curricular programme with unique yet relevant content is taught in a loving environment. This facilitates academic problem solving and helps build a solid foundation for the years ahead.
In the College, students write the IEB (Independent Examinations Board) Grade 9 and Grade 12 National Examinations. Students are extended and encouraged to grow in personal discipline and responsibility. Leadership skills are also recognised and developed.
A balance between the arts, humanities and sciences provides a wide scope of subject choices for each individual's needs...
Co-Curricular Programme
We recognise the benefits of team participation and the need to develop individual talents. All pupils are afforded the opportunity to become involved at a competitive or social level.
A number of sporting activities are offered. These include athletics, hockey, rugby, swimming, netball, cricket and soccer. Other sports such as cross-country, golf and tennis are also encouraged.
Our cultural programme provides the opportunity for individuals to grow spiritually and in self-confidence through drama, dance, music, art, media club, enviro club and public speaking amongst others.
